Who I am
This website is run by Nikita Vale, an independent brand and motion designer trading as Nikita Vale Studio from Lisbon, Portugal. "I", "me" and "my" in these terms mean Nikita Vale. "You" means anyone visiting the site or making a donation.

Using this site
This site is my portfolio. It shows selected client work, explains how I work, and lets you get in touch or support what I do. By using it, you agree to these terms.
- Don't try to disrupt the site, get around its security, or reach parts of it that aren't public.
- Don't copy the site's content to present it as your own work.
- Don't use the site to send spam or anything unlawful.
Donations
You can choose to support my independent work with a one-off donation of $5, $10 or $25 (US dollars). Donations are completely voluntary.
- A donation is a gift. It doesn't buy a product, a service, design work or any other benefit.
- Each donation is a single payment. Nothing is recurring and you will never be charged again automatically.
- Donations are not made to a charity.
- Stripe will email you a receipt for every donation.
Design projects for clients are agreed separately, in writing, and are not covered by these terms.
The toy
You can also buy a small toy from me. Unlike a donation, this is a purchase: you pay for the toy and I send it to the address you give.
- Price: $30 (US dollars) for a US address, $40 for any other country, shipping included.
- Delivery estimate: US 5 to 10 business days, worldwide 2 to 6 weeks.
- Limited stock: there are only a few, and the offer hides itself when it is sold out. A toy is yours once your payment is confirmed.
- Your address must be correct and complete; I can't be responsible for a parcel sent to the address you gave.

Refunds
Because donations are voluntary, they are normally final. I will refund a donation in full when:
- you made it by mistake, for example the wrong amount, or
- you were charged twice for the same donation,
and you ask within 30 days of the payment date.

Payments and Stripe
Donations are processed by Stripe, a payment provider. When you donate, you enter your card details on Stripe's secure checkout, not on this site. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment.
All amounts are in US dollars, so your bank may add its own currency conversion fee.
Your privacy
- Stripe processes only what it needs to take the payment.
- If you order the toy, your name, delivery address and email are kept to ship it and are cleared 12 months after shipping or refund.
- This site stores no card data. It keeps the amount of each payment and whether it went through, and for a toy order the delivery details you entered.
- If you create an account, the site stores your account email and uses a session cookie to keep you signed in.
- The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies.
- If you email me, I keep your message only to reply to you.

My work and content
The text, design and portfolio images on this site belong to me or to the clients I made them for. You're welcome to link to any page or share it. Please ask me before reusing images or case studies anywhere else.
Liability
I work to keep this site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is", and it may sometimes be offline or out of date. As far as the law allows, I am not responsible for losses that come from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes never apply to a donation you've already made.
